New GAL Training

To become a GAL, complete the brief form on the Volunteer Now page.  You will be contacted and an interview will be set up at the GAL offices.

After the interview, new GALs must complete the on-line Independent Study course and quiz. Go to Volunteer Training on the Florida GAL website. Then click on "Independent Study Phase One".  This will download a PowerPoint presentation to your computer.  Click on the downloaded file and the program will begin.

When you have completed the Independent Study and you are ready to take the Overview Quiz, once again go to
Volunteer Training and click on "Independent Study Overview Quiz". This will download a new PowerPoint presentation to your computer.  Click on the downloaded file and the quiz will begin.

If you have any problems accessing the site or issues with the training, contact the GAL office at 561-355-6224.
